According to the hospital, he sustained a single shot to his left hip, with the bullet traveling across his pelvis causing bone fractures, internal organ injury and severe bleeding.So Young Pak, director of media relations at MedStar Washington Hospital Center where Scalise is being treated, gave no additional details about his condition.Scalise remains in critical condition at a hospital near the Capitol and has undergone multiple surgeries.Wednesday morning, as Republican lawmakers were practicing for the game, a lone gunman opened fire, striking Scalise in the hip and hitting a congressional staffer for Rep.
