Summer Reading Program is Building A Better World at Ridgefield Library

The Douglas County Public Library is providing a Summer Reading Program for adults this July!Our new reading log program has some bonus features for more fun and also allows mutiple family members to be managed together. The first day to register and log hours will be on Monday, June 26. Anyone who reads-or is read to-is eligible to participate in this popular summer-long event! The Snakeman program was part of the Build A better World program. For each book or other item checked out, the reader will receive one punch on the card. Wednesdays. School-aged children will gather for a story and related art, games or science activities.On that note, North Lake County Public Library is excited to announce that it was awarded a NASA@MyLibrary grant this Spring, and will continue to offer space-related programming for the duration of the four-year grant!The library encourages all eligible to register and keep track of their progress and visit the library for a jam-packed summer of special events. Children can look forward to a summer filled with books and events, starting with the kick-off party on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m.Our grand prize drawing and ice cream social will take place on Thursday, August 17 at the library. Sign-up is ongoing through Saturday, July 8, and is for children ages birth through those entering 6th grade.
