Stephen Amell will not stop. He really wants to make an Arrow/Supernatural crossover happen. The Arrow star once again called out Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles to make it possible.
Fans of both hit TV series have been waiting for Oliver Queen (Amell) to meet the Winchester brothers, Dean (Ackles) and Sam (Padalecki). During a recent Facebook Q&A, Amell was asked by a fan about working with the Supernatural stars. He said it would be delighted if this opportunity will come.
“I mean, that’s really up to Jensen and Jared. I heard that they’re getting a spin-off which is exciting but as the much, much, much, much, much, much, much more senior members of the CW family … it really would be about finding a moment in their schedule to make all the fans happy. I’m totally up for it. I’m not trying to pass the buck, but the buck is now sitting at their feet,” the Arrow star said.
Stephen Amell first teased about a crossover last year when he said he would love to see the Supernatural actors traveling to the DC universe on TV. In October, he shared a photo of some of The CW stars, including Ackles and Padalecki, during the PopFest in LA and teased that a crossover is all they need. Last month, he again mentioned his dream crossover during the Arrow panel at the HVFF Portland.
Is an Arrow/Supernatural Crossover Possible?
Definitely yes. First, both Arrow and Supernatural are filming in Vancouver, Canada. The Green Arrow has been crossing over to other CW shows, The Flash and Supergirl. Sam and Dean, on the other hand, are expected to visit Sheriff Jody Mills (Kim Rhodes) in the upcoming Supernatural spin-off, Wayward Sisters.
Second, Sam and Dean deal with mystical events, and they travel to almost anywhere they need to. Team Arrow, on the other hand, is no stranger to supernatural beings. Remember Damien Darhk from the previous season.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if someone who has supernatural powers goes to Star City and Oliver would ask for help from the Winchester brothers. Another scenario is that Sam and Dean would follow a certain creature that will lead them to meet Ollie.
Moreover, demon hunter Constantine had also appeared in Arrow. If Constantine can blend to the Arrowverse, why not in Supernatural? Basically, Constantine dealt with almost the same kind of supernatural enemies that Sam and Dean have been dealing with in the past 12 years.
Arrow Season 6
Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim teased what fans could expect in the upcoming season following the explosive Season 5 finale. “A lot of the discussion that we’ve had and a lot of the discussion we’ve seen online is very binary – people either live or they’ll die. [But] there are other consequences that can come out of what happened at the end of [the episode].”
Arrow Season 6 will premiere on October 12, the same day as Supernatural Season 13 will. Wouldn’t it be nice to watch an Arrow/Supernatural crossover by then?
