‘Bachelor in Paradise’ 2017 Cast: Who’s In and Who’s Out?

‘Bachelor in Paradise’ 2017 Cast: Who’s In and Who’s Out?

The Bachelor in Paradise 2017 cast is back. Warner Bros. TV announced that the production of the controversial reality TV show will resume in Mexico. However, it looks like not all cast members are coming back.

Warner Bros. TV ordered the resumption of BIP production after an internal investigation found no evidence of the alleged misconduct. The claim of misconduct involving two of the show’s contestants was revealed earlier this month. This prompted the show’s bosses to suspend filming in Mexico and send the contestants back to the U.S.

“We can say, however, that the tape does not support any charge of misconduct by a cast member. Nor does the tape show, contrary to many press reports, that the safety of any cast member was ever in jeopardy,” WBTV said in a statement. Along with the result of its investigation, the company also announced that they will implement changes to BIP’s policies and procedures to further ensure the safety and security of all contestants.

The Hollywood Reporter cited a source saying many of the original Bachelor in Paradise 2017 cast members were already contacted to return to Mexico. They were also informed that filming will be extended until July 5 due to the filming suspension. Originally, the Bachelor in Paradise 2017 was scheduled to be filmed from June 1 to 27.

Some of the original cast, however, might sit this one out because of the extended week of filming. Other have already agreed and will be heading back to Mexico by the end of the week. “Viewers will see most of the same cast returning, with some new faces,” the source said.

Who’s Returning in the Bachelor in Paradise 2017

BIP stars Amanda Stanton, Raven Gates, Vinny Ventiera, Taylor Nolan, Lacey Mark, and Derek Peth have already confirmed their return. They have announced on their respective social media accounts that they are coming back to the show. Jasmine Goode also expressed relief that the show is finally resuming production.

Aside from the first 16 stars, more Bachelor in Paradise 2017 cast members are traveling to Mexico. These new additions are yet to finalize contracts since the production was halted earlier this month. THR said among the additional cast members are twins Emily and Haley Ferguson from The Bachelor season of Ben Higgins, Kristina Schulman from Nick Viall’s season, and one contestant from Rachel Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette.

Who’s Not Coming Back to Bachelor in Paradise 2017?

Warner Bros. TV had no comment on whether Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson would resume filming with their cast mates. Reports indicate that the two have not been asked to return yet. Jackson is reportedly hoping to come back. Olympios, on the other hand, continues her own investigation despite Warner Bros. TV’s finding.

Olympios and Jackson are the two contestants who were involved in the alleged misconduct. Both stars already issued their statements about the incident. Olympios called herself a “victim,” while Jackson claimed his character “has been assassinated.” Bachelor in Paradise 2017 is supposed to premiere on Aug. 8. There is no word as of this writing if there will be a delay in its premiere.
