Get Paid $647 to Discuss 'Game of Thrones' Season 7, Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke

All the years of watching Game of Thrones paid off for some of the show’s fans. A number of GoT followers who love to talk about cast members such as Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke were reportedly paid $647 for joining a focus group.

Project Casting reported earlier this month that Elevator Casting is looking for big fans of Game of Thrones in the U.S., aged 18 to 30-years-old, for a fun, paid on-camera focus group discussion. According to the site, producers are looking for avid GoT fans who are willing to get paid for talking about their favorite characters and scenes in the show for one day.

Refinery29 cited the casting call that reads: “If you’re a big fan of Game of Thrones and you want to get paid to talk all your favorite characters and moments in the show, we want to hear from you!” Apparently, the discussion took place via Skype last June 16. Those chosen in the screening process were promised to receive $647 for the time they spent in the discussion.

Chances That the Game of Thrones Focus Group Discussion Will Happen Again

You may have missed the first one, or you are probably living outside the U.S. But, there is no reason to lose hope. You might be given another chance to talk about Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke with fellow GoT fans.

It looks like the June 16 discussion was a success; hence, a repeat of the virtual fan discussion is most likely. Do you want to earn while talking about GoT like they did? Well, it’s time to brush up on your GoT knowledge. For those living outside the U.S., cross your fingers that the organizer will include you this time.

In case this on-camera focus group is called once again, you want to be ready. In the previous event, applicants were asked to email their name, age, phone number, email address, and occupation. They were also asked to send a brief introduction about themselves. You will also be asked about the things that love about Game of Thrones and who your favorites characters are and why. The organizers will also require you to send two or three of your most recent photos.

Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke in Game of Thrones Season 7

Both stars are coming back to the seventh season of the critically-acclaimed series. Harington will reprise his role as Jon Snow, the Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch. Clarke, on the other hand, will return as Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons.

It is expected that in Game of Thrones Season 7, Jon Snow and Khaleesi will finally meet. The two are yet to share a scene together. Daenerys’ dragons are also not babies anymore. In a photo previously released by HBO, Daenerys’ dragons in Season 7 are really gigantic, particularly Drogon. Director Matt Shakman teased, “The dragons this year are the size of 747s. Drogon is the biggest of the bunch. His flame is 30-feet in diameter!”

The Game of Thrones Season 7 worldwide premiere is on July 16 on HBO. The season contains a total of seven episodes instead of 10. Although the season is shorter, the runtime is much longer than the episodes of the previous season. The minimum running time is 50 minutes, and its season finale will run for 81 minutes.
