'Gilmore Girls' Revival Reunion Just Happened! Sookie, Michel Enjoyed Greece Together

Melissa McCarthy’s Sookie and Yanic Truesdale’s Michel reunited during a recent vacation in Greece, and they even found a way to include fellow Gilmore Girls revival alum Lauren Graham. The duo happened to bump into each other while enjoying the country’s weather on Tuesday, as seen in the photos they shared on Instagram.

The former co-stars staged a mini reunion when they discovered they were both in the Southeastern Europe for a holiday. Truesdale posted on his social media accounts a photo of himself posing with McCarthy in front of a stunning landscape. He captioned it: “I love when this happens! By coincidence, we both booked a vacation at the time in Greece! #magicaltiming #bestvacations.”

Two days earlier, the 47-year-old actor – who starred as sarcastic concierge Michel on Gilmore Girls revival – shared a snap of himself reading Lauren Graham’s recent book, Talking as Fast as I Can: From Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls (and Everything in Between). He captioned the photo: “Catching up on my reading in Greece. At last a vacation! Proud of my friend Lauren for her funny and entertaining new book! #talentedactress #friendship #bestvacations.”

Yanic Truesdale Talks About His Co-Stars Graham and McCarthy

McCarthy and Truesdale, who play Sookie and Michel respectively, previously reunited in March and shared a meal together. Days before the release of the Netflix show, in an interview, the actor opened up about working with McCarthy and Graham. When asked who of them forgot their lines the most while filming the four-part series, he took the blame.

Truesdale explained, “My lines were always with Lauren and Melissa. Lauren is a master at learning her lines at last minute. It’s uncanny and unheard of Melissa and I – I would say both – could suddenly blank. So I would split it in half. I would say both of us.”

As for who among them always broke the most on set, the hunk admitted that he and McCarthy were the culprits. He told UsMagazine.com, “Melissa! Me, I’m terrible. If I start laughing I can’t stop and I really have to cut it early on because it spirals and I just can’t go back.”

Meanwhile, fans are hoping that Netflix will pick up Gilmore Girls revival for a sequel. It can be recalled that the show ended with a cliffhanger when Rory admitted to her mom that she’s pregnant. Viewers want to know the identity of the baby’s father, but series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino clarified that the first installment was meant to be a “stand-alone” effort.
