Jamie Dornan Fears Being Killed by Fans After Playing Christian Grey!

While everyone enjoys the appearance of the actor in the Fifty Shades franchise, Jamie Dornan actually revealed that his biggest fear is getting murdered by a fan. The actor’s remark came before the release of the first installment, with him admitting that he’s worried some obsessed fan might take things too far following his portrayal of the kinky billionaire.

The Northern Irish hunk was candid on how his life has changed since taking the role from Charlie Hunnam, who abruptly quit the franchise in 2013. The 35-year-old was keen enough to rescue the film, and fortunately, it helped him reach the pinnacle of his career. From serial killer to Christian Grey, Dornan did not seem afraid to plumb the depths of male depravity.

Jamie Dornan Reveals He Fears Being Murdered by Fans

Although the actor carved a name in Hollywood through his sexy role, he previously revealed his greatest fear: being killed by Fifty Shades of Grey fans. He was worried, at the time, for his own safety following his appearance in the film, saying that he might be murdered similarly to The Beatles legend, John Lennon, who was shot by one his supporters in 1980.

Jamie Dornan didn’t want his followers to have that bizarre obsession that might lead to his murder. When asked in an interview to name his biggest fear regarding how the movie will be received, the hunk admitted: “I almost don’t want to put this out there into the ether, but I fear I’ll get murdered, like John Lennon, by one of those mad fans at the premiere.” He added, “I’m a father now, and a husband. I don’t want to die yet.”

After offering his response, Dornan joked, “And when I do get murdered, people will say, ‘God, isn’t it haunting how he did that interview in Details magazine and predicted his own death on the red carpet?’ ” The star also said that he was not happy with the idea that the romance film could turn him into an international sex symbol.

Dornan Aware of the Negative Film Criticisms

He further quipped that he was aware that the film, which also stars Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele, could be an object of criticisms. He explained, “I’m very aware of opinion regarding the film, whether it be positive or negative. It is, by its nature, an easy target.” Despite the not-so-good comments from the movie critics and fans, the Fifty Shades flicks continue to become a blockbuster.

Fans are currently waiting for the release of the third film – Fifty Shades Freed – as it is set to hit theaters in February 2018. Needless say, Jamie Dornan previously confessed that he might not return to the franchise if ever they will adopt another E.L. James’ book about Christian Grey. He reiterated that he’s done filming the erotic scenes.
