Maddie Ziegler Slams 'Dance Moms' Abby Lee Miller, Won't Talk About Her

After leaving the Dance Moms franchise, Maddie Ziegler swore to never return to the reality dance television series ever again. But since her name is forever linked to the show, questions about the Abby Lee Miller are still being thrown at her. Recently, the young dancer has refused to talk about choreographer. She also seemingly suggested that Cheryl Burke, who took over the show, is better than the former instructor.

Maddie Ziegler Slams Former Dance Moms Mentor Abby Lee Miller

The younger dance icon had nothing but good things to say about Burke, noting that having the Dance with the Stars professional on the series will be good for the rising dancers. She said, “Cheryl is a great person, so I think she’ll do really well with the kids. All the girls said they loved her.” She also shared that the pro really cares about them, which is apparently a huge difference from her experience with Miller.

It can be recalled that Maddie Ziegler previously detailed her days in the reality show with her former mentor. She explained, “I was stressed at 11 years old, which shouldn’t happen.”

She went on to admit that she’s glad she left the series, saying, “I learned a lot of lessons. I had the craziest time when I was with her and on that team. I’m really glad that I did move on from that, and I did learn a lot from her and we did have some fun times. But I feel like now, I’ve never been happier in my life.”

Former Dance Moms instructor Miller started her jail term earlier this month after she was found guilty of bankruptcy fraud. Way before she was sentenced, the Lifetime Network already announced in March that Burke would be replacing her. Reportedly, the members of the reality TV series are happy that the new mentor is taking over Miller’s place as she does well in handling the students.

Ziegler Does Not Want to Talk About Abby Lee Miller

The 14-year-old star recently revealed in an interview that she’s no longer in contact with her former mentor and wants nothing to do with her at all. Ziegler explained when asked about Miller’s legal issues, “I don’t really think I have anything to say about her.”

It looks like Maddie Ziegler is trying not to link her name with Miller’s personal troubles. She is aware that the dance instructor’s legal battles may tarnish her growing Hollywood career if she would say anything about it, so it is best not to comment about it. Currently, she has a lot of things on her plate  – from teaming up with Sia, putting up her own clothing line, writing her books, to becoming an actress.
