Niall Horan is headed back to Australia. The One Direction member has announced that he will perform in The Voice Australia 2017 finale early next month.

Horan shared the good news through a pre-recorded message on the Today show (via Mail Online). He said he is delighted to return to Australia, which he also calls his second home. Horan also made the announcement on his Twitter account. He said, “It’s a country that’s very close to my heart. I’ve had some of my favorite memories in my life in Australia. I can’t wait to get back down and see you all, perform for you … it’s gonna be a fun few days.”

The Irish singer-songwriter will be performing on The Voice Australia 2017 finale alongside Katy Perry. Miley Cyrus’ brother, Noah, will also join the two. Perry earlier confirmed that she will be appearing in the grand finals of Australia’s version of The Voice.

Niall Horan is a regular visitor to Australia not only to perform. According to Mail Online, the 1D member often visits a cousin in Melbourne and he is also a good friend of Shane Warne and Brendan Fevola. Horan has also been photographed enjoying the Australian Open and cricket matches during his vacations in Down Under.

Niall Horan No Time to Date

The 23-year-old singer revealed to Notion Magazine that he has “no time for Tinder” as he is busy completing his first solo album. Horan’s solo LP is expected to be released later this year. His fellow 1D member, Harry Styles, had already dropped his first solo album.

“The album was long days, so we were recording everything live full band. We’re talking 11/12 hour days, every day, which is like work, studio, home, bed, eat, you know. [I have] no time for Tinder,” he told Notion. Horan’s schedule is indeed packed. He recently joined several artists in Ariana Grande’s One Love Manchester benefit concert for the victims of the Manchester Arena tragedy.

The Voice Australia 2017 Semi-Finals

Eight hopefuls will compete on Sunday for the four spots in the grand finals of The Voice Australia. Coach Delta Goodrem is down to only one singer in the semi-finals after two of her artists failed to impress the audience over the weekend. Claire Howell and Tim Conlon got eliminated in a three-way battle on Sunday night.

The public chose to save Berni Harrison after they were captivated by her rendition of the INXS classic Never Tear Us Apart. Howell sang Little Mix’s Secret Love Song, while Conlon performed Elle King’s Ex and Oh during the three-way battle.

Meanwhile, Team Delta’s Judah Kelly managed to stay in the competition last Sunday. He was able to stun the four judges with his powerhouse rendition of Sam Smith’s I’m Not The Only One. Kelly is Goodrem’s last remaining hopeful in the competition.

The Voice Australia 2017 semi-finals will be broadcast on June 25. At the end of the episode, four artists will advance to the grand final, while the other four will be sent home. The Voice Australia 2017 finale airs on July 2 at 7 PM on Channel 9.
