Next week’s episode of The Bachelorette 2017 could be the most intense ever. Rachel Lindsay teased that she will have a meltdown prior to the hometown visits. She also hinted that Bryan Abasolo might not meet her family.
After a series of romantic dates in Oslo, Norway and in Copenhagen, Denmark, Rachel and her suitors will be heading to Geneva, Switzerland for her next round of overseas dates. The lady lawyer will enjoy three one-on-one dates and one with a group in Geneva. According to Reality TV World, the first solo date in Switzerland will be with Bryan.
The couple will take a ride to a famous watch shop. There, Rachel will give Bryan with a classic timepiece. Later on, Bryan will open up about his troubled past relationships after they dance to the music of a string quartet.
In a sneak peek shared by ABC, Bryan opens up why his past relationships ended. “It was eerily similar to what we have going on,” he tells Rachel. “It was passionate and hot and heavy in a short amount of time. Looking back on it, it was maybe a little too much, too early.
“Hence my fear a little bit of what we have going on. That’s why I’m a little scared going into [hometown dates] next week. The last time I introduced somebody I felt as strongly for, we broke up shortly thereafter,” Bryan explains.
After which, Rachel Lindsay reveals on camera that she needs to know the chiropractor from Miami even more before he can meet her family. “Meeting somebody’s family is very, very serious. I feel like I need to understand him more and where he comes from, what his family is like, what they’re going to think of me and will they be accepting of me. I have some important questions before I can hand out that rose,” the Dallas native says. Watch the teaser above.
Who Won Rachel Lindsay’s Heart
There have been speculations that 32-year-old attorney will choose Bryan over Peter Kraus in the end. Bryan reportedly proposed to Rachel at The Bachelorette 2017 Final Rose Ceremony which was filmed in Spain back in May. Rachel gladly accepted the proposal and, in return, gave Bryan her final rose.
However, in the previous episode, Rachel had expressed her concerns with Bryan after their perfect solo date in Norway. “This is why I think Bryan is too good to be true … I don’t get it. I don’t understand why he’s still single and that’s the part that scares me. He is such a catch. He is such an amazing person. I don’t get it,” she said in a clip.
Rachel confirmed, prior to the premiere of The Bachelorette 2017, that she is already engaged to the winner of the reality show. Of course, she did name who won her heart, but many speculate that is Bryan.
Rachel Lindsay in Meltdown
Only six suitors, Adam, Bryan, Dean, Eric, Matt, and Peter, are left in the competition. Two more will be eliminated next week, and the Final 4 will then head to the hometown dates. But before the four remaining suitors meet Rachel’s family in Texas, there will be an intense incident next week.
Rachel teased in her blog in People Magazine, “There will be two gut-wrenching goodbyes [in the next episode]. My emotions reach an all-time high, so prepare yourselves to see me breakdown like I never have before.” It is not clear who is saying goodbye and why Rachel is crying. The clip doesn’t suggest, though, that the meltdown happened during a rose ceremony.
