The time for Dance Moms Abby Lee Miller to serve her sentence has come. Miller reported to Victorville Federal Correctional Institution prison in California, and her condition in jail may not be as bad after all. She may still have some of the things she normally enjoys but, of course, her life won’t be as luxurious as before.
Miller was sentenced to one year and one day in prison in May after she was indicted on 20 counts of fraud more than a year ago. She was given 45 days to report to prison. Miller will likely serve for about a month and a half in FCI Victorville. After which, she will have a supervised release for the remaining jail time.
Aside from incarceration, Miller will have to pay a fine of $40,000 and a $120,000 judgment for the currency reporting violation charge. Miller’s lawyers said they respect the judge’s decision and have no plans to file an appeal.
Before reporting to FCI Victorville prison, Dance Moms Abby Lee Miller posted a now-deleted message on Instagram. “Today is going to be a tough day! Seems as though important facts were omitted from the case! Just wanted to let the world know – moms & girls all made money, Lots of money! Nobody was doing me a favor out of the kindness of their hearts!,” she wrote (via E! Online).
The reality TV show star earlier admitted what she fears most in prison. “I’m afraid of being physically abused or raped. I have to stay busy. If I thought about it every day, I’d just sit around and cry,” Miller told People Magazine in April.
Dance Moms Abby Lee Miller New Home
Miller will spend time in the FCI Victorville prison which is located about two hours away from Los Angeles. The facility is best known from the HBO show, Luck. It is a low-security facility and houses inmates that were sentenced for committing non-violent crimes.
The FCI Victorville also has a medium-security compound which houses male inmates. The low-security area, where Miller will spend part of her sentence, is a female-only area. Currently, the 256-capacity jail has 287 inmates, but it is also considered less crowded than other prison facilities.
Dance Moms Abby Lee Miller’s Living Condition in Jail
Dance Moms Abby Lee Miller will never run out of new things to do in jail. However, her passion for dancing may have to wait since it is not on the list of fitness activities based on the prison’s admissions handbook. Inmates can do yoga, aerobics, and step aerobics.
As for food and fashion, the prison’s commissary is packed with items for sale. The facility has makeup, sunglasses, and other fashion items. It also has a wide snack selection such as Pop-Tarts and chocolate chip cookies.
According to TMZ, the facility has a planned meal for Miller’s first week in prison. She will have a jellied toast for breakfast, hamburgers and fruit for lunch, and sandwiches and wraps for dinner. During weekends, she will have Sloppy Joes and tacos.
