American Horror Story: Twisty the Clown returning for season 7

Viewers can expect to see the return of Twisty The Clown in the brand new season, Ryan Murphy has confirmed. The serial killer clown made his debut in season four of American Horror Story (Freak Show). Perhaps he’ll only appear in illustrated form, which I guess is better than him appearing in person, but even a cartoon Twisty will provide plenty of nightmare fodder. In addition to American Horror Story fan favorites Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Adina Porter, and Cheyenne Jackson, newcomers to the series such as Colton Haynes, Billie Lourd, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman, and Alison Pill have been added to the cast for season 7. We’d much rather have AHS premiere early in the fall and run straight through like Roanoke did than have to wait weeks for the final few episodes, which is what we suffered through for Asylum, Coven, Freak Show and Hotel. And suddenly… it will all make sense. And if that isn’t firm confirmation, we don’t know what is. The hiatus in between seasons is always hard, but at least this one is nearly over – or at least we think it is.Whether he’s summoned back into the present by the curious comic’s owner or arrives on his own accord with Mordrake’s menagerie can only be speculated on – but this little plot leak is just the thing to get viewers psyched for the next descent into AHS’s paranormal horror den when the show returns on FX in September. That’s why we weren’t bothered all that much by the omission previous year; Roanoke was a return to form for the series, and in our mind really the first season since Asylum to not fall apart by some measure in the second half of the season.
