LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT to Present ‘Russia Week’ Beginning 7/17

On Tuesday night’s “The Late Show”, host Stephen Colbert reacted to Donald Trump Jr. For a week starting on July 17; Colbert will kick off “Russia Week”.As the fallout continues from Donald Trump Jr.’s e-mails and the fact that he basically tweeted out all the evidence that he and his father colluded with Russian Federation, everyone’s scratching their heads and trying to make sense of it all.The week’s slate of guests includes Al Gore, Keegan-Michael Key, Jason Bateman and Issa Rae.The late-night host tweeted out a picture of himself in Russian Federation in late June, hinting at his trip, though neither Colbert or CBS announced any special excursion for the show at the time. The news of the trip to Russian Federation first broke on Thursday, June 22 after the highly-sensitive information that Stephen Colbert was in St. Petersburg was shamelessly leaked in a tweet by Stephen Colbert. Installments of that week’s late-night shows will include segments filmed in Moscow and St. Petersburg, conversations with Russian citizens, an interview he did with Russian late-night television show “Evening Urgant”, and “lessons he learned on how to live the oligarch lifestyle” from billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov. The clip from that show is available to view here. Stephen Colbert, Chris Licht, Tom Purcell and Jon Stewart are the executive producers.
