World’s ugliest dog crowns sleepy, gassy mastiff

She and her owner, Shirley Zindler, will also travel to NY for media appearances.Martha, with owner Shirley Zindler, beat 13 other contenders to be presented with a trophy and a $1,500 (£1,200) prize.The contestants include Monkey, a 6-year-old Brussel Griffon, and Icky, an 8-year-old unknown breed, both of whom were rescued from hoarding.The panel based their decisions on first impressions, unusual attributes, personality and audience reaction, the agency added.Rascal Deux’s dad, Rascal, won the World’s Ugliest Dog title in 2002.A blind Chihuahua-Chinese Crested mix named Sweepee Rambo won the 2016 competition. It’s meant to show that all dogs, regardless of physical appearance, can be lovable additions to any family.Martha the Neapolitan Mastiff is more than just a droopy face – she’s a world champion.”He’s my sexy boy”, Vicky Adler, of Davis, California, said of her 8-year-old Chinese Crested named Zoomer. This is the 29th year the contest is being held at the Sonoma-Marin Fair.
