'Avengers: Infinity War' D23 Trailer Leaked! Spoilers Confirm Spider-Man Armor, Hulk's Storyline

The recent reveal of the Avengers: Infinity War D23 trailer leaves fans all the more excited for the film’s release. The trailer divulges more updates on the upcoming movie, including Spider-Man’s new armor and a few updated appearances from some of the fans’ favorite superheroes. The new footage shows a flurry of what fans can expect upon Infinity War, though how everything comes together still seems to be a jumbled, unknown mess.

What Did the Avengers: Infinity War D23 Trailer Show?

The Avengers: Infinity War D23 trailer starts off with the Guardians of the Galaxy flying in their ship when an unknown body slams into their vehicle. The body is later revealed to be Thor (Chris Hemsworth). Mantis (Pom Klementieff) revives the knocked out God of Thunder; as to why he was slammed into the Guardians’ ship is still unknown. However, such detail may be the aftereffect of the events that take place in Thor: Ragnarok.

Eventually, Thor teams up with the rest of the Guardians and takes them to Earth. There, the trailer shifts to Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) who is seemingly controlling cars with her mind as a female voiceover states, “Death follows him like a shadow.”

Then, Thor’s brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) is shown to have the Tesseract with him, only to hand it over to an unknown figure. This is a noteworthy detail, considering the Tesseract houses one of the Infinity Stones. This seems to hint at the nature of Loki’s role in Infinity War.

Later, Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland) is shown to be on his school bus. However, the hairs on his arms stand up. Some speculate that this may be a teaser of Spider-Man’s Spider Sense, an ability that was not present in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Then, a ship crashes towards a planet that is assumed to be Earth. Amidst the crash, Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), and other superheroes are together, watching in despair.

Enter Thanos and Spider-Man’s New Suit

Another scene shows Gamora (Zoe Saldana) surveying the wreck in the room of the Collector (Benicio del Toro). She turns around with a horrified look on her face. The film’s antagonist, Thanos, finally makes his appearance, which prompts the Avengers into action. Notably, Spider-Man is later seen to don a new suit. Some fans presume that this is the same garb shown at the end of Homecoming.

Other tweaks include updates to the looks of some characters. These include Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), who now sports blonde hair. Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans), on the other hand, seems to be undercover with a beard on his face.

It’s safe to say that the Infinity War footage has fans excited. However, the actual footage has yet to be made available online. Thus far, videos that claim to be the Avengers: Infinity War D23 trailer are unofficial and false.

Importance of The Hulk in Avengers: Infinity War

As per reports, Ruffalo’s Hulk will see an emergence in the Infinity War saga. Though the character does not have any solo films under Ruffalo’s interpretation, the Hulk ultimately plays a key role in Infinity War and its sequel. As to how the Hulk will have a major storyline in Infinity War has yet to be divulged.

Some speculate that the Hulk may later turn on his comrades, which will thus lead to Avengers 4. Such a theory isn’t without grounds. For one, Ragnarok already touches on the Planet Hulk storyline. The World War Hulk saga succeeds this plot point and sees the Hulk taking revenge on the Illuminati as he defeats several other Marvel heroes along the way. Though unconfirmed, Infinity War exploring this storyline would ultimately add yet another complex facet to the troubles of the Avengers thus far.
