The Justice League movie is due out this November 2016, and there have been plenty of trailers and marketing materials coming out. Most of the DC superheroes have been hyped though there is one who has yet to be revealed – Superman (Henry Cavill).
In Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, everyone knows how he was killed and buried. But being the “Man of Steel,” most know that the iconic DC hero always rises from the grave. So the only question right now is how that will all happen and in what capacity, something that Movie Pilot has been trying to figure out.
Evil Superman angle
At any rate, Superman will join the Justice League. So far, Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) have been technically confirmed with most wondering where Superman comes in.
It could be one of two ways. He could emerge as an evil Superman against the Justice League heroes to do the evil protagonist’s, Steppenwolf (Ciaran Hinds), evil bidding. Being the general of an alien race (New Gods) from the planet Apokolips, some kind of magic in the form or modern technology or something supernatural could happen.
From there, it becomes a side plot challenge for the living DC heroes to try and convince the Man of Steel of his roots and get him back to the good side and revert to his superhero self.
Rising from the grave
The standard way is to see Superman rise from the ashes as his old self. The Flash could insert some Flashpoint angle to the mix or maybe even some supernatural solution from Aquaman.
If not those two scenarios, Superman could simply rise from his coffin and float above the Justice League group, something that could come in line with this shared picture on Reddit, an image of the Justice League poster spotted in promoting the upcoming film.
Of the two, the evil Superman billing is believed to be the road that producers are headed. The only question now is when in the Justice League movie Cavill will emerge. Will it be from the get go or at the climax of the plot? If so, who will help him turn from bad back to good?
Batman should be the best bet to do all that, seeing how the two battled the last time out on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Some help could come from Lois Lane (Amy Adams) or Martha Kent (Diane Lane) to help jog back the memory of Clark Kent back to normal.
