Everyone’s waiting for Avengers: Infinity War as it will probably simultaneously mark the end of one era and the start of a new age of heroes. It is said to be the next biggest chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Apart from the many rumors surrounding the plot, Director Joe Russo dropped hints of a death in the upcoming film.
This war is what the other Marvel films were all preluding to—the biggest war, with the biggest and baddest villain of all time, Thanos. He puts every villain that the Avengers have faced in the MCU to shame, but he also puts the current lives of everyone on the line.
Who Will Die in Avengers: Infinity War?
Russo has pretty much put everyone on the chopping block. If fans and viewers were to look at the early shots of the film, no one is a match for the strength of the evil Thanos. With what has already been released to the public, it looks as if everyone is susceptible to the wrath of the purpled Josh Brolin.
If viewers look at who could die in the upcoming movie, the film universe doesn’t have many clues. The only notable deaths we’ve had are Quicksilver, who lost his life trying to protect civilians after his reform in the last Avengers: Age of Ultron movie. Phil Coulson, who is still pretty much alive in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and of course, Frigga from Asgard.
Other sources have suggested that Vision could take the hit as his existence is dependent on the stone on his forehead, and if readers are getting the comics correctly, Thanos needs all the stones for that powerful gauntlet he’s been wanting to build.
Avengers 3 director Joe Russo said that everyone should prepare for a death in the upcoming film. “My brother and I believe in stakes. I believe that everything has to have an end at some point in order for it to have value. The audience should be prepared.”
Will it be Iron Man, Captain America, or Neither?
It is indeed time for the Avengers to let go of a few key characters. In any case, it could be a crowd favorite such as Iron Man or Captain America. They might have saved the death of a key character in order to make this major movie an emotional transition to the new phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Whoever it will be, fans and viewers will never know until the Avengers: Infinity War release date which is on May 4 of next year. For the time being, Marvel fans have the new Thor: Ragnarok movie, where he tries to beat up Dr. Banner, and of course the new Spider-Man: Homecoming.
