Philippines to Join World War 3? Leaked Call to Duterte Confirms US Nuclear Subs

Is the Philippines participating in the potential World War 3? Recent headlines suggest that President Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines may be working together with US President Donald Trump for such. Reports claim that both President Duterte and President Trump have been in recent communication with one another. As it turns out, these interactions involve the location of US nuclear submarines.

Duterte and Trump Working Together in World War 3?

Though plans for a new World War are not necessarily on the table, such is the concern that lingers on many people’s minds. According to reports, President Trump recently phoned President Duterte in order to commend him on his “unbelievable job on the drug problem” in the Philippines. This is in spite of the criticism President Duterte faces for his infamous war on drugs. Some claim that his approach on such an issue is deemed inappropriate and inhumane. President Trump, on the other hand, seems to think otherwise.

“I just wanted to congratulate you because I am hearing of the unbelievable job on the drug problem,” says President Trump in a transcript of his call to President Duterte. “Many countries have the same problem, we have a problem, but what a great job you are doing and I just wanted to call and tell you that.”

President Trump’s comments seem to paint him in a similar light to that of President Duterte’s opinions on drugs in his nation. As per President Duterte, his efforts make up his intentions to “preserve the Filipino nation.” At this, President Trump makes a jab at who seems to be President Barack Obama. He tells President Duterte that the US once had a “previous president who did not understand” President Duterte’s current ways.

US vs. North Korea

In addition to the discussion on drugs, the transcript also reveals that President Trump divulged the location of US nuclear submarines to President Duterte. The New York Times reports that Washington recently sent two nuclear submarines to Korea. This is in light of the nation’s ongoing conflict with North Korea. In retaliation, North Korea promises to counter this aggression with nuclear warheads of their own. Thus, fears of an oncoming World War 3 are not unwarranted.

Though the revelation was clear, the transcript also adds that President Trump is heard saying that the nuclear submarines may not actually see any action anytime soon. “We have two submarines — the best in the world,” says President Trump. “We have two nuclear submarines, not that we want to use them at all.”

All civilized nations must join together to protect human life and the sacred right of our citizens to live in safety and in peace.
