Ajax midfielder Nouri ‘stable’ following collapse versus Werder Bremen

Ajax midfielder Abdelhak Nouri is “out of danger” after collapsing during a friendly on Saturday, the Dutch giants said.In the 72nd minute of the game at Lindenstadion in Hippach, the 20-year-old lay down on his back inside the Bremen half in clear discomfort. An ambulance was called and Nouri received treatment from medical staff on the pitch. “Our thoughts are with him and his family”, Ajax tweeted, referring to the player by his nickname. “It is serious, we [will let you] know immediately if there is more clarity”.The game was abandoned, with Ajax later revealing that Nouri had heart arrhythmias, a condition whereby the organ beats either too fast or too slow.
