Roger Federer claims ninth Halle title

Federer will enter the 2017 Wimbledon as the odds-on favourite after a comfortable 6-1, 6-3 victory to cap off another successful week in Halle.Fourth seed Cilic battled past Gilles Muller of Luxembourg 6-3 5-7 6-4 following an hour’s delay to the original order of play, while Lopez came through 7-5 3-6 6-2 after an interrupted encounter with Grigor Dimitrov later on Centre Court.Federer has yet to drop a set in Halle where he was playing his 13th consecutive semifinal on Saturday. Apart from that, both players are also looking to become the oldest and youngest champions at Halle.
