UFC Veteran Tim Hague Brain Dead Following Boxing Match

Recently UFC legend Matt Hughes was airlifted to a hospital after his truck collided with a train and before that, boxer Daniel Franco needed an emergency brain surgery after his brutal knockout against Jose Haro.According to Tim Hague’s sister, “Tim remains in critical condition”.A truly awful story after former UFC fighter Tim Hague suffered a serious brain injury after getting knocked out in his boxing match.The 34-year-old’s head bounced off the canvas in sickening fashion, and he laid motionless before the referee waved off the fight.He was able to get back to his feet and stumble backstage, but fell seriously ill just minutes later and was rushed to hospital.”As many of you know, Tim suffered a severe knockout in his boxing match last night”.Mixed martial arts journalist Mike Russell said: “Sources in contact with teammates at the hospital tell me Hague was declared brain dead two hours ago”.’Tim is now in a coma.Jackie Neil said in a brief emailed statement on Saturday that her brother, Tim Hague, is in critical condition.A heavyweight trained in jiu-jitsu, Hague put his teaching career on hold to make his pro MMA debut in 2006. He fought five times under the UFC banner from 2009 to 2011.His last fight in boxing resulted in a knockout in December. He compiled a 21-13 MMA record before switching to boxing.
