There is a huge demand for a Gilmore Girls Revival Season 2 due to the cliffhanger ending, leaving everyone with burning questions about the lead characters. Now, Milo Ventimiglia is generous enough to give a hint to the answer of the mystery of Rory’s pregnancy. He apparently teases that his role, Jess Mariano, could be the father of the child.
Gilmore Girls Revival’s Cliffhanger Ending Remains a Big Deal for Fans!
One of the most viral moments of last year was the finale of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. The revival brought back nearly every iconic character and the setting from Amy Sherman-Palladino’s sitcom. It showed viewers where the titular mother and daughter are in their lives since the series’ cancellation in 2007. And while the four 90-minute episodes delighted the show’s hardcore fans, the finale left them with a major cliffhanger.
It ended with a surprising note when Alexis Bledel’s Rory admits to her mom that she is pregnant. With three different men in her life, it is quite difficult to guess who the father is. There are some who believe that it was Logan, but others assert that it could be Jess. Now, the This Is Us star answers some fan queries about the Netflix revival of Gilmore Girls. He apparently addressed the biggest question of them all: Is Jess Mariano the father of Rory’s baby?
Gilmore Girls Revival Season 2 Star Hints Jess Could Be the Father of Rory’s Baby
One of the leading candidates finally talked about whether Jess impregnated Rory. During a previous panel discussion, he also answered some queries regarding the possible Gilmore Girls Revival Season 2 but his remark was not exactly promising for the dedicated viewers. He said, “It was a great time…I’m very happy that the fans got those last four episodes. They should be happy with that.”
The 39-year-old actor also previously quipped that Jess might not be the father of Rory’s child, but his latest interview may suggest otherwise. Speaking to People, he said that his character “absolutely loved Rory still,” yet it remains unknown if they will end up together. He explained, “I don’t know. I didn’t write the show, so I really don’t know.”
Moreover, Ventimiglia mentioned the controversial topic in the series. He revealed, “And fans are like, ‘Oh my God, is it your baby?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t know.’ It could be – I don’t think it is – but it could be.” The actor admitted that he is not sure if it was Jess who got Rory pregnant since the answer is hidden in the creator’s mind.
So it looks like Jess himself doubts any parental role in the child’s life. But somehow, there is no doubt that it will not suppress any fan theories about the subject. The identity of Rory’s baby daddy will remain unanswered until a Gilmore Girls Revival Season 2 comes to life.
