Things are about to get more intense and hotter in Power. Power Season 4 spoilers indicate that Tommy and LaKeisha’s secret affair will continue. Showrunner Courtney A. Kemp also teased that the current installment will eventually leave viewers “shocked.”
In the previous episode of Power, Tommy (Joseph Sikora) and LaKeisha (La La Anthony) had steamy sex on the kitchen counter. Based on their post-sex conversation, it seems like they will continue with their current relationship. The couple, however, intends to keep LaKeisha’s BFF, Tasha (Naturi Naughton), in the dark about their affair. Tasha is the wife of James “Ghost” St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick), who happens to be Tommy’s best friend and business partner.
“It wouldn’t be good. Because they are best friends, but their friendship is very complicated, as well. LaKeisha always feels like, ‘Why her and not me? Why does she have this life, and why am I struggling and not have the things that she has?’ It makes for a very toxic, loving, complicated friendship,” Anthony said.
Tasha New Love Interest in Power Season 4
LaKeisha is not the only one who will have a new love interest in the series as Tasha will, too. In a recent interview with HollywoodLife.com, Naughton was asked if Tasha and Ghost would still be together in the end.
“They’re married, but at the same time, they’re dysfunctional as hell. I don’t know. Maybe she’s starting to wise up. I think this season you’ll see Tasha has a love interest. Over time, you’ll see that she’s like I’m tired of your crap [to Ghost]. At some point, a woman’s got say, ‘I’ve had enough,’ ” she said.
Naughton also provided some other Power Season 4 spoilers. She revealed that viewers will see a different side of her character this season. “I feel like people really misjudged Tasha in Season 1 and thought she was just money hungry and with Ghost for the drug money and the lifestyle. This season you are going to see how much she’s sacrificed to keep her family together,” she told CNN.
Naughton is due to deliver her first child in July. She, however, confirmed that her Power character is not having a new baby. “No, Tasha isn’t having a baby. So many people are wondering about that,” she clarified.
More Power Season 4 Spoilers
Showrunner Courtney A. Kemp hinted that things will get even more intense this season and vowed for more surprises in the upcoming episodes. She teased that Power fans have not seen anything yet. “When you’re done watching the show this season you’re going to be … I don’t want to say enraged. Shocked. That’s the word,” she told CNN.
“It’s gotten harder to write, and I think it’s gotten harder to watch … It’s also a little bit of suffering because you know the stakes are so high and you know that any of your favorite characters can be dead at any moment,” she said. Power Season 4 airs Sundays at 9 PM on Starz.
