Rick and Morty Season 3 Episode 2 is nearly here as Adult Swim dropped the first full trailer for the series and confirmed its release date. While fans eagerly wait for its premiere, the clip gives a taste of what everyone can expect when the animated sitcom returns to television screens.
Dan Harmon Explained Why Rick and Morty Season 3 Was Delayed
After all the rumors of the show’s cancellation due to the creators’ feud, the grandfather and grandson are finally back. In actual point of fact, the speculation is a total crock. As Dan Harmon explained, Season 3 is delayed simply because they took too long to write it. He also added that they didn’t want to muck it up, and instead, they chased perfectionism.
The series creator said, “I understand and we are flattered that in an information vacuum, with the show so late, any morsel of info is going to have huge weight. But the truth is not dramatic. It’s quite boring. We love our show. It’s a weird show that we struggle to not overthink OR underthink. As for now, they’re drawing it.”
Harmon further stated, “We don’t update on exactly where every episode is in pipeline for two reasons: One is that we want you harassing the bosses as opposed to hard-at-work artists and editors, or writers that finished months ago. The other is that it is out of our jurisdiction to discuss schedule. That’s Adult Swim’s biz. Totally unrelated. Hence the info shortage.”
Rick and Morty Season 3 Episode 2 Full Trailer Released!
On a lighter note, the team recently held a live stream event where they confirmed that they would grace viewers with the second episode of the much-hyped third season before the month ends. The release date announcement was accompanied by the first trailer for the season – a montage of more of the same goofy, imaginative, disturbing, gory, and bizarre hijinks.
Watch the trailer below.
They unveiled the Rickmancing the Stone trailer which shows Pickle Rick, a Mad Max-style apocalyptic wasteland, Morty in a Game of Thrones-esque bathroom environment with a giant arm, two Summers, and Rick welcoming Morty to the “darkest year” of their adventures. The clip also featured some of the footage from episode one, which was previously released during one of the coolest April Fool’s jokes people have ever seen in years.
In the concluding scene of the trailer, a voiceover says: “Only a show with this smart could be this stupid.” The third installment is expected to consist of 14 episodes. Not only did Harmon and Justin Roiland give everyone a glimpse of the next installment, but they also teased the possibility that a fourth season is already being worked on.
Rick and Morty Season 3 Episode 2 Rickmancing the Stone, which came from the classic rom-com film Romancing the Stone, may feature the same plot as the movie. It can be recalled that the flick focused on a writer who worked with a mercenary to save his sister.
In connection, Morty Smith may be put in a life-threatening situation as he helps Summer. While it is still not confirmed, fans should wait for its return to the small screens this July 30.
