Firefighters battle large blaze at London’s Camden Lock Market

Eight fire engines and about 60 firefighters were initially called to fight the fire, shortly before midnight Sunday (local time), according to the London Fire Brigade said.Firefighters in London are battling a huge fire at Camden Market after a blaze broke out in the indoor market stalls.The first three floors and the roof of a building at Stable Market in Camden Market are ablaze, but no injuries have been reported.”We called the police to close the street to the traffic because it was very unsafe, the fire was flying through the air to the surrounding areas”.”The fire was moving very fast”, witness Joan Ribes, 24, told the Press Association.”Police were called on Monday at 12.10am to Camden Lock Market to reports of a fire”.Authorities are warning people to avoid the area.Photographs on social media show flames towering high above the surrounding buildings.A major blaze devastated the area in 2008, shutting the attraction for several months.It remains unknown if there are any casualties, said the police.The ambulance service said it sent a clinical team leader and a Hazardous Area Response Team.”We have not treated any patients, and we remain at the scene”.
