Incredible video shows dog rescuing drowning fawn

The video shows the heroic Storm toss the deer onto the sand; the deer moves, struggling to stand up, and Storm grabs it in his mouth and bounds up on the rocky shore.Fox 13 News says Mark Freeley was walking along a Long Island beach when his dog, Storm, suddenly burst into action.”Storm is trying to save this baby deer”, Freeley can be heard saying.Storm, once back on land, guided the fawn away from the water.After bringing the deer to shore, it was clear that Storm was indeed trying to save the poor fawn.”And then he started nudging it, and started pulling it to make sure she’s gonna be OK I guess”, Freeley said.Unfortunately, the fawn had to be rescued a second time.Freeley and Frank Floridia, of animal rescue group “Strong Island Rescue”, took the charge this time and both waded into the water after the fawn.The deer was reported to be covered in ticks and suffering from an eye injury.The fawn was taken to Save the Animals Rescue Foundation, a wildlife rehabilitator in Middle Island, and is recovering nicely, Kutzing said.Meanwhile, Freeley’s Facebook post on the beach rescue has gone viral, with more than 1.2 million views and 30,000-plus shares in 24 hours.
