Two militants killed in Kashmir’s Baramulla

Indian troops martyred two more Kashmiri youth in Baramulla district of Indian Occupied Kashmir on Wednesday, the Kashmir Media Service reported.According to a senior police official, the slain terrorists have been identified as Basit Ahmad Mir, a resident of Indergam Pattan, and Gulzar Ahmad, a resident of Brat Sopore.”As the security forces closed in today, the militants opened fire, triggering an encounter”, a police officer said. The Army official said two weapons were seized and operations were still on in the area.At the time when this report was filed the cordon and search operation was still underway by the security forces.The search operation was halted for the night and resumed in the morning when the gunfight started.Hizbul Mujahideen is fighting for Kashmir’s independence from India.The Valley is yet to recuperate from the killing as the region remains mired in infiltrations, gunfights and civilian protests.
