UCLA residence halls evacuated due to bomb threat

Students at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) campus were evacuated from the students’ residence last night after a bomb threat was received, local media reports. At midnight, students were from Dykstra Hall and De Neve Plaza Hall were allowed to return to their digs.UCLA Housing tweeted “The Hill is in emergency”, and that more information would be provided when it came in.Large crowds of students evacuating the dorms were being directed to Drake Stadium.Around 3:30 a.m., the all clear was given, and residents returned to their halls.Bomb threat at Sunset Recreation. Campus police said the threat was called in by an unknown person. Another message advised students to stay indoors unless otherwise instructed.School representatives told the LA Times the evacuations were precautionary. “Police are continuing to investigate”.
